Thank you for visiting my personal website, where I share my photographs, observations and the odd thought or story.

I’m an amateur photographer from the Netherlands, and I focus on observational photography: stepping out, looking around and capturing whatever catches my eye. This could be a strong composition, an interesting interplay of colours, an abstract line, or simply a moment on the street. At times it’s classic street photography, other times it’s about shapes and structures, and occasionally I dive into macro. It spans all directions, as long as it’s worth sharing.

Photography will be a large part of this website, but not the whole of it. I also write about whatever happens to occupy my mind. I’m interested in open-source software, Linux, the open internet and European alternatives to services we have increasingly come to depend on. I’m a user rather than a developer, so I tend to approach technology from that perspective.

Besides photography, I also enjoy cycling. My bike is my primary mode of transport, and I’d love to see more people discover just how practical and enjoyable cycling can be.

Think of this blog as my own little corner on the internet: a place for photographs, things I’ve discovered, subjects I find interesting and thoughts I feel are worth putting into words.
